Passion 2012 University Tour makes a stop at Ole Miss

Passion 2012 University Tour makes a stop in Oxford

This past Thursday the Ford Center was packed to the brim with Ole Miss students and residents of Oxford. However, this time it was not for an orchestral concert, motivational speech, or even a play, but for a Christian event. Christian recording artists Kristian Stanfill and Charlie Hall, with the Passion 2012 University Tour, made a roar at the Ford Center Thursday night.

This event was not the center’s typical event, but the turnout was “o-mazing”, a phrase used often when describing an amazing experience at Ole Miss. I was of course one of the many lucky students to attend this concert. Stanfill and Hall brought a very welcoming atmosphere into the center and revived the spirits of the Christians that do exist on campus. This night was filled with tears, shouts, joy, and fellowship.

It is part of the Passion Conference’s 12 stops to universities around the U.S. in promotion for their annual conference in Atlanta in January. It was indeed a night of worship and gathering of people with one goal in mind and one purpose, a togetherness. The event was a success, the turnout was amazing, as aforementioned. The Passion Conference no doubt gained many new followers and fans.
